Give thanks today for the salvation of others and for the opportunity God gives us in helping others to discover His offer of grace.
Romans 6:17-18 (ESV) But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
Who do you know who has come to know Christ in the past year? Take time to thank God for them and for God's gift. Can you give thanks for someones salvation for whom God allowed you to play a part this past year? Who are you praying will come to Christ in the days ahead - for whom you will be able to give thanks in the year to come?

The Story of Karen Mitrel
ReplyDeleteThis past weekend was the Billy Graham, My Hope America television and cable special telecast. Millions of homes saw the 30 minute video, The Cross. God used this video to help change lives, forever! AMBC is a Call Center for these special broadcasts. Along with 38 other churches across the US and Canada, the centers took hundreds of calls. Many of those calls were from people wanting to accept Jesus as their Savior. Close to 40-45% of these people prayed and asked Jesus to take control of their lives. Now, about Karen Mitrel. One of our phone staff on Friday night took a brief break from their phone. I was able to set with the phone should a call come in and just as I got ready, the phone rang. "Hello, My name is Al. Did you call to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?" Karen said, "YES!" Her southern accent sounded like music. We talked a few moments about her decision. I shared some truths from God's Word and welcomed her into God's family. A new sister in Christ! That evening, Karen had a change of address and a change of heart. Thank you Jesus for Karen!
